Brad Nelson • Treasurer

Brad Nelson has been a Point Loma resident since October 2020. He is a member of the Mean Green Team, a Platinum Business Member of the Point Loma Association (PLA), and a regular participant in PLA business mixers.

Before settling in Point Loma, Brad spent most of his adult life in the Washington, DC area, working across government, military, and private sectors as an engineer. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering, and is a licensed Professional Engineer. Brad served in the Navy as a submariner and retired as a Captain in the Navy Reserve.

Since 2018, he has worked as a self-employed financial planner and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. While living briefly in rural Indiana before moving to California, he served as Treasurer for both the Rossville Lions Club and Rossville United Methodist Church.

Brad and his wife, Heather Wiggins, enjoy spending time together on personal fitness, sailing, and driving old cars.
