Rachel Nucci

Rachel Nucci is an East Coast transplant who has proudly called Point Loma home since 2021, where she lives with her family. As a Principal and Architect at the local firm HGW Architecture, Rachel is dedicated to creating thoughtful, community-focused places that enhance the way people experience and connect with the built environment.

Rachel earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology and her Master of Architecture from Arizona State University. She is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys gardening and previously served as a Board Member for the Ocean Beach Community Garden, reflecting her commitment to sustainability and community engagement. An avid traveler, she has explored more than 40 countries with her family. Experiencing different cultures, architecture, and communities has broadened her perspective and deepened her appreciation for the unique character that makes every place special.

Rachel is excited for the opportunity to bring her professional experience and passion for design to the Point Loma Association, helping to preserve the character of Point Loma while supporting its thoughtful growth and continued vitality.
